I’ve had an exciting week. Well,Monday was boring but on Tuesday,a new student came to class! Her name is Macy. She has short hair and wears glasses. She is taller than me. She moved in from Utah, and has a sister named Bethany in second grade,I think. She sits right behind me in class. She’s pretty smart and has very neat handwriting.(NOT that I looked at her work because I never do that and never need to ’cause I always know the answers!) Now we have 15 girls in our class and only 5 boys! We have three times as many girls than boys! I wish it were the other way around. On Wednesday something else exciting happened! After school we had a TWO hour-long play practice and did a run through of the whole play and even used a few props! It was funny because the college actors kept forgetting their lines. One actor remembered almost none of her lines. So it sounded like she was saying “line” for every sentence.(In case you didn’t know, when an actor says line, they’re asking the director to remind them what their lines are.) The funniest was when Marley’s Ghost forgot his lines and improvised by wailing/yelling, “WHHHHHooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! LLIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!” In the intermission we got to have cookies, brownies, and puppy chow! Even better, when we were done going through it,Miss B. (the director for the younger actors), showed us a newspaper clip with our picture on it. It told about how we were going to be in the Christmas Carol, when the play was,and my favorite part was when it said,’ “My favorite part about acting is that we get to put on a show for the audience for them to enjoy” Says Anna Royuk, the actor for Tiny Tim.’ . And Thursday was exciting because we had a substitute teacher, but other than that it was just a normal day. And today,we have no school! It’s going to be an awesome weekend.
