Place Mats

In school,we made place mats. The reason we did so is because we in our school  have a free Thanksgiving Dinner that people can come to and eat at,so that’s what we use the place mats for. We took a large piece of construction paper, folded it,and put the crease near the edge of the table. Draw straight lines on all the edges except for the creased edge. Draw lines all down it,then cut on all the lines you drew, except the top one. Unfold it. Weave strips of smaller construction paper through it. Then,if you want, write phrases on it. I made one for the Thanksgiving Dinner, for home, and for Grandma & Grandpa.         I LIKE PLACE MATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That makes me think of construction paper chains. Do you like making those, too? They make good Christmas decorations.

I make those, but not for decorations.I make as many days ’til Christmas starting on the day I make it.Every night,I tear off a link. When I tear off the last link,I know that in the morning it will be Christmas.
