Pumpkin Carving

Today,we carved pumpkins.Daniel didn’t want to help pick out the seeds,so he’s not going to get to eat any.My pumpkin has a kitty face,Rachel’s has a scary face, and Daniel has,on my opinion,a kinda scary face, but mostly insane. It was fun.On Daniel’s opinion,Rachel’s is classic, mine is dumb,& his is awesome,or so he says.I’m happy ’cause we just got it done,& like I said,I had a pretty fun time carving pumpkins.

Hehe…I smiled at the sibling commentaries!

They all look great! And I HATE sorting through all the slimeyness to get the seeds too…but I do it because I love roasted pumpkin seeds! Mmmmm!

Oh I don’t know… Daniel’s pumpkin looks kind of cool to me. Rachel’s looks like its eyes are upside down! I like yours, Anna, very creative. I love pumpkin seeds! I wish I could have some.

I’ve never eaten roasted pumpkin seeds. Do you eat them shell and all? Maybe I should try it this year.

    • Dad says:

You eat the whole thing- they’re extremely fiber-y but quite delicious. I coat them in olive oil and season with garlic salt. Then I spread them on a pizza pan and roast them at 350. You can take them out every ten minutes and stir them around until they’re roasted, it generally takes about 30 minutes.

I do the same thing as your brother, but I use butter & salt & pepper. Mmmm…butter & salt (I like you too pepper, but not as much).
